Strengthening the access of money through epayment in Social Cash Transfers
Officers implementing Social Cash Transfer Program in Ntcheu were trained on how they can support SCTP beneficiaries to access their money using different epayment modalities such as banks, ATMs mobile money, agents.
SCTP provides transfers to beneficiaries in Ntcheu  through FDH bank.
The agenda-setting table has been moved on because it has been observed that beneficiaries around the are privileged with banking facilities and most of the alternative e-payment platforms.
Records are showing that most beneficiaries are cashing out from these platforms with few still opting to receive at pay-point through the bank mobile van due to some fears in transacting at the bank.
The training will enhance the capacity of  the officers who will in-turn orient the beneficiaries of how best they can use banks and other epayments platforms to access their money .
The program expects all beneficiaries in village clusters around Boma to access their monthly transfers through  different innovative epayment modalities such as ATMs, bank halls, mobile money agents and merchants.
The training has been made possible with support from UNICEF.
